A first day open to everyone

The General Assembly opened on Monday, November 24, with a presentation of the program’s highlights, emphasizing the synergies between targeted projects. Two inter-PEPR round tables then provided an opportunity to address cross-cutting issues:

The day ended with a public lecture by Gian-Marco Rignanese, who shed light on the prospects opened up by artificial intelligence tools for the development of new materials.

Project presentations and collaborative work

Tuesday, November 25 was devoted to the presentation of new targeted projects and winning projects in the DIADEM 2024 Call for Projects (FAST-IN-FUELS, PHOTONIA, COAST, GREENTEA, REBORN, AMMETIS, CATANA-2, COLLECTIF, CINEMA).

The afternoon was devoted to cross-disciplinary thematic group work sessions, the presentation of the DIADEM Academy’s initial actions, and a demonstration of the DIAMOND digital platform. A poster session and a social gathering provided an opportunity to continue discussions in a more informal setting.

Winning projects in the DIADEM 2024 call for projects and working group reports

The final day, Wednesday, November 26, highlighted the follow-up to the winning projects in the 2024 call for proposals (SIMOICS, AI-MAHC, CINDERELLA, ExplorMat, SYNEART, NanoPhia, MASKY, LUMEN). The presentation of the work carried out by the cross-disciplinary thematic groups then enabled the next collective steps to be structured.

The conclusion of the General Assembly was led by Frédéric Ravel (MESR – DGRI), alongside the co-directors of PEPR DIADEM, Frédéric Schuster and Mario Maglione.

Stronger collective momentum

A big thank you to all participants for their attendance, contributions, and shared energy throughout these three days. This General Assembly confirms the collaborative dynamic at the heart of PEPR DIADEM and opens up exciting prospects for the coming year.
