The PEPR DIADEM will play an active role in the 2026 E-MRS Spring Meeting, to be held in Strasbourg from May 25 to 29, 2026. This major annual event brings together the international materials science community, bridging the gap between academic research and industrial applications.

A symposium at the heart of the industry’s transformations

As part of this initiative, the program is co-organizing the symposium “Data-based Methods and AI for the Development and Processing of Advanced Materials”. The recent introduction of powerful data-driven modeling and characterization tools has opened up new possibilities for the development of advanced materials and the improvement of design and production processes. This symposium will explore the latest research advances in this field

Topics covered:

multiscale modeling and simulation (DFT predictions, machine learning, mesoscopic modeling, thermodynamic calculations in complex spaces),
acceleration platforms (high-throughput synthesis, advanced characterization, AI-driven autonomous laboratories),
the application of artificial intelligence to life cycle analysis (substitution of critical materials, in situ testing, recycling).
process optimization using AI (thin films, alloys, glasses, porous or hybrid materials, nanomaterials),
the development of digital twins for advanced processes (sintering, 3D and 4D additive manufacturing).
