On October 13, the PEPR DIADEM gave a presentation to EssilorLuxottica’s Research and Development department titled “DIADEM: AI to Accelerate the Discovery of Advanced Materials.”

The purpose of this presentation was to introduce the audience to the uses of artificial intelligence in the design and discovery of new materials, illustrating its potential through concrete applications in the optics industry. Beyond these applications, this presentation demonstrated how the combination of AI and materials science can accelerate industrial innovation, with approaches that can be applied to many sectors.
